The company has expanded over the years to include erosion control and mitigation, fire suppression and rehabilitation, forest road maintenance, recreation facilities construction, and mastication (tree-grinding) services. Chaparral Construction LLC qualifies as a HUB-Zone contractor.

Chaparral Construction LLC is experienced in all facets of stream and river restoration and enhancement, with its heavy equipment operators and project managers having attended classes in river mechanics at Trinidad State Junior College, as well as Applied Fluvial Geomorphology, River Morphology and Applications, and River Assessment and Monitoring, taught by Dave Rosgen of Wildland Hydrology.
